July 23th and 24th 2005 in Pic du Vissou - AMVH air-club

ETROPLANE 2005 will be an unique slope meeting  in France reserved for the old sailplanes models (the limit is around 1960, before the fiber glass sailplane era).

Slope soaring allows you to fly at eye level,  just for the pleasure of it, which is not the case in aero-towing, where you can enjoy the beauty of your machine for only 30 seconds, at the time of takeoff and of landing.

This week-end there will also be an event specifically for Doppelraab builders. This will be in static judgement and simple flight presentation.

360° panorama and landing strip

This week end of flight could also become a week or more of holidays for the whole family.  The Pic du Vissou is located between sea and mountains,  50 km (90 miles) from Béziers and Montpellier, near Clermont-L' Hérault (34 Hérault-FRANCE).  This fabulous slope for the modeller has both a beautiful landing strip and a splendid view that spreads out from La Grande Motte to the Pyrenees.

How to get there?

By motorway (A75), take exit 57.  When you are in Clermont-l' Hérault, take the direction to Bédarieux (D908). After Villeneuvette, drive for a few kilometers,  go straight at the first crossroads to the Cirque de Mourèze, then after a series of turns (2.7km/1.5 miles), take on the left a dirt track in front of a martyrdom(calvaire).  When you are in the car park, the flying site is on the right (400 m on foot)
